Montreal Alouettes sign wide receiver Jonathan Brady to a future contract

The Montreal Alouettes signed wide receiver and returner Jonathan Brady to a future contract on Monday, according to the CFL Transactions page. The contract does not start until after the 2026 season.

Jonathan Brady is five foot ten and weighs 183 pounds. The 22-year-old from Los Angeles, California, signed with the Las Vegas Raiders as an undrafted free agent on May 4, 2026. The Raiders released him on July 28, 2026.

Collegiately, Brady spent two seasons at New Mexico State University (2022-23) with 62 catches for 931 yards, seven touchdowns, 19 carries for 122 yards, one rushing touchdown, 16 kick returns for 317 yards, 11 punt returns for 93 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 28 games for the Aggies. In 2023, he was on the Paul Hornung Award Watch List after finishing the season with 39 catches for 621 yards, four touchdowns, nine carries for 35 yards, one rushing touchdown, six kick returns for 117 yards, 11 punt returns for 93 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 15 games.

Next, he transferred to California in 2024 with 36 catches for 386 yards, three touchdowns, five carries for 28 yards, an eight-yard punt return, and one tackle (1 solo) in 13 games for the Golden Bears. Then, he transferred to Indiana in 2025, where he was named Second Team All-Big 10 with 14 catches for 115 yards, three touchdowns, 21 punt returns for 347 yards, and one returning touchdown in 16 games, helping the Hoosiers win the CFP National Championship.
