The United Football League (UFL) announced on Friday that Orlando Storm quarterback Jack Plummer was named the 2026 UFL Most Valuable Player of the Year. He becomes the third straight quarterback to win the award after Birmingham quarterback Adrian Martinez won it in 2024 and Michigan Panthers quarterback Bryce Perkins won it in 2025.

The award was selected by a panel of league and team executives, coaches, and players from all eight teams, as well as broadcast partners and media. Selections were based on player performances throughout the recently concluded 10-game regular season.

Jack Plummer is six foot five and weighs 215 pounds. The 26-year-old from Dubuque, Iowa, was drafted by the Orlando Storm in the 2026 UFL Quarterback Draft. In 2026, Plummer completed 195 of 300 passes (65%) for 2,188 yards, 17 touchdowns, one interception, 30 carries for 189 yards, and two rushing touchdowns in 10 games to lead the Storm to an 8-2 record.

Plummer led the league in completions and passing yards. He also holds the UFL record with 255 pass attempts without an interception. In the UFL Semi-Finals against the D.C. Defenders, Plummer completed 15 of 28 passes (53.6%) for 226 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and two carries for 15 yards.

The Carolina Panthers signed Plummer as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, he completed 43 of 68 passes (63.2%) for 406 yards, two touchdowns, and six carries for one yard in three preseason games. He spent the season on the practice squad.

In 2025, he completed 23 of 38 passes (60.5%) for 210 yards, one touchdown, three interceptions, and three carries for 27 yards in three preseason games. The Panthers released him on August 25, 2025.

Collegiately, Plumber spent three seasons at Purdue University (2019-21), completing 319 of 492 passes (64.8%) for 3,405 yards, 26 touchdowns, 10 interceptions, 105 carries for 74 yards, one rushing touchdown, punting the ball two times for 61 yards, and one tackle (1 assist) in 21 games for the Boilermakers.

Next, he transferred to California in 2022, completing 282 of 451 passes (63%) for 3,095 yards, 21 touchdowns, nine interceptions, 52 carries for -126 yards, and one rushing touchdown in 12 games for the Golden Bears.

Then, he transferred to Louisville in 2023, completing 256 of 395 passes (64.8%) for 3,204 yards, 21 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, and 98 carries for 34 yards in 14 games for the Cardinals. He was named Third Team All-ACC.
