The Montreal Alouettes signed wide receiver Rashad Rochelle to a future contract on Thursday, according to the CFL Transactions page.
Rashad Rochelle is five foot eleven and weighs 185 pounds. The 23-year-old from Springfield, Illinois, signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent on May 14, 2026. In 2026, he made one catch for five yards, two kick returns for 40 yards, and three punt returns for 66 yards in three preseason games. The Seahawks released him on August 30, 2026.
Collegiately, Rochelle spent two seasons at Rutgers (2022-23) with 27 catches for 109 yards, one touchdown, one carry for -2 yards, five kick returns for 183 yards, and four punt returns for eight yards in 21 games for the Scarlet Knights.
Then, he transferred to Indiana State University (2024-25) with 97 catches for 1,270 yards, 12 touchdowns, eight carries for 11 yards, completed two passes for 47 yards, 43 kick returns for 1,073 yards, one returning touchdown, 21 punt returns for 220 yards, and three tackles (3 solos) in 22 games for the Sycamores.
In 2024, he was named to the MVFC All-Newcomer Team and an MVFC Honorable Mention after finishing the season with a career-high 58 catches for 527 yards, four touchdowns, seven carries for seven yards, completed one pass for 24 yards, 26 kick returns for 616 yards, 13 punt returns for 135 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 12 games.
In 2025, he was named All-American (Third Team by FCS Football Central, Honorable Mention by Associated Press, Fourth Team by Phil Steele), and First Team All-MVFC after finishing the season with 39 catches for 743 yards, eight touchdowns, one carry for four yards, completed one pass for 23 yards, 17 kick returns for 457 yards, one returning touchdown, eight punt returns for 85 yards, and two tackles (2 solos) in 10 games.
