The Montreal Alouettes placed defensive back Arthur Hamlin on the retired list on Tuesday, according to the CFL Transactions page.
Arthur Hamlin is six foot and weighs 195 pounds. The 26-year-old from Ottawa, Ontario, made five tackles in two preseason games in 2026. He missed a majority of the season with a knee injury. However, he did appear in eight games with two tackles, six tackles on special teams, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown.
The Montreal Alouettes drafted Hamlin in the third round (29th pick) in the 2024 CFL Draft. In 2024, he made five tackles, seven tackles on special teams, and one interception in 12 games. In 2025, he made 17 tackles and four tackles on special teams in 16 games.
Collegiately, Hamlin played five seasons at Colgate University (2019-23) with 70 tackles (50 solo, 20 assists), one tackle for loss, one interception, seven pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 31 games for the Raiders. In 2023, Hamlin made 32 tackles (23 solos, 9 assists), one tackle for loss, one interception, and six pass breakups.
