The NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series visited Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday afternoon in the Ag-Pro 300. Jesse Love started the race on the pole, while Sam Mayer started second.

On the opening lap, William Sawalich pushed Patrick Staropoli, who crashed into the outside wall on the backstretch. David Starr and Tyler Ankrum were also involved in the crash. It was one of four cautions throughout the race. Carson Kvapil led 22 laps, including winning the first stage, and Justin Allgaier led four laps, including winning the second stage. Kvapil finished in 22nd place, and Allgaier finished in 23rd place.

Late in the race, Jesse Love, who led a race-high 37 of 113 laps, was leading the race, with Sam Mayer and Sheldon Creed on his bumper for the lead. There were several other cars also in contention for the win. With a lap to go, Corey Day took the lead with Brent Crews behind.

Sam Mayer went around in the backstretch, and a five-car crash, involving Jeb Burton, Harrison Burton, Brandon Jones, Ryan Sieg, and Blaine Perkins, brought out the caution that ended the race, and Corey Day won his first career O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race over Brent Crews.

Sheldon Creed, Sammy Smith, and Jeremy Clements rounded out the top five. Dean Thompson, Jesse Love, Brandon Jones, Parker Retzlaff, and Austin Green completed the top ten.
