The San Antonio Brahmas (4-1) visited Choctaw Stadium on Saturday night to take on the Arlington Renegades (0-5) in an XFL Conference matchup. The Brahmas took care of business in Arlington beating the Renegades by the final score of 25-15 and for the time being taking over sole possession of first place in the XFL Conference.

San Antonio had 350 yards on offense. Quarterback Quinton Dormady completed 19 of 30 passes (63%) for 164 yards, one touchdown, three touchdowns, and two carries for five yards. Dormady’s happened in the first quarter to tight end Alize Mack for 24 yards making it 9-0 with 5:34 left.

Running back John Lovett led the team in rushing with 13 carries for 95 yards, two touchdowns, and three catches for 13 yards. Lovett’s touchdowns happened in the second and fourth quarters. In the second quarter, Lovett ran for a one-yard touchdown making 15-3 with 9:54 left, and in the fourth quarter ran for a one-yard touchdown for a 22-15 lead with 11:56 left in the game. San Antonio’s rushers finished the night with 24 carries for 190 yards, and two touchdowns.

Wide receiver Jontre Kirklin led the receivers making six catches for 43 yards, while tight end Alize Mack made three catches for 36 yards, and one touchdown. San Antonio’s receivers finished the night making 20 catches for 161 yards, and one touchdown.

Kicker Ryan Santos made two field goals with a long of 43 yards. San Antonio’s defense made 81 tackles, five tackles for loss, two sacks, four pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

Arlington had 311 yards on offense. Quarterback Luis Perez completed 26 of 36 passes (72%) for 270 yards, and one touchdown. Perez’s touchdown happened in the second quarter to wide receiver J.P. Payton for 52 yards cutting the Brahmas lead down to 15-9 with 2:10 left. Backup quarterback Lindsey Scott Jr. completed one pass for -1 yard, and two carries for no yards.

Running back Dae Dae Hunter led the rushers with 9 carries for 33 yards, and one catch for 9 yards. The rushers finished the game with 24 carries for 59 yards. Wide receiver J.P. Payton led the receivers making 7 catches for 119 yards, and one touchdown. The receivers finished the night making 26 catches for 272 yards, and one touchdown.

Kicker Jonathan Garibay made three field goals with a long of 47 yards. Arlington’s defense made 60 tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack, three interceptions, and seven pass breakups.
