Layne Riggs scores his seventh win of the season at Charlotte Motor Speedway

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series visited Charlotte Motor Speedway on Friday evening in the Ecosave 200. Connor Mosack started the race on the pole, with Tanner Gray starting second.

Kaden Honeycutt led the opening lap before Mosack took the lead and led two laps. Honeycutt would get the lead again on the fourth lap. He led 11 laps before losing the lead to Layne Riggs. Riggs led 18 laps to win the first stage.

The second stage was dominated by Kaden Honeycutt, who led 24 laps to win the stage. In the final stage, there were two cautions when Stewart Friesen crashed at Turn 4, and Kris Wright spun on lap at Turn 1. Later, there was a multi-truck crash on lap 119 when Rajah Caruth’s truck slowed, leading to a total of eight trucks involved. The others who were involved were Connor Mosack, Timmy Hill, Leland Honeyman, Daniel Dye, Ben Rhodes, and Luke Baldwin.

Late in the race, Kaden Honeycutt was leading Layne Riggs with seven laps to go. Honeycutt hit the wall exiting Turn 4, allowing Riggs to take the lead. Riggs led 47 of 167 laps to win his seventh race of the season by 0.596 seconds over Christian Eckes. Kaden Honeycutt led a race-high 85 laps to finish in third place.

Bayley Currey and Chander Smith rounded out the top five. Daniel Hemric, Landen Lewis, Andres Perez, Tyler Ankrum, and Justin Haley completed the top ten. Click here to view the full results. There were five cautions for 28 yards, and eight lead changes among three drivers.

The Craftsman Truck Series heads to Phoenix Raceway next Friday at 7:30 pm on FS1.
