The Winnipeg Blue Bombers moved defensive lineman Matt Jaworski from the retired list to the practice squad on Saturday.
Matt Jaworski is six foot five and weighs 260 pounds. The 23-year-old from Buffalo, New York, attended the Buffalo Bills rookie minicamp in 2025. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed Jaworski on October 2, 2025. In 2025, he made one tackle and one sack in one game. Jaworski announced his retirement on May 2, 2026.
Collegiately, Jaworski played four seasons at Fordham (2021-24) with 167 tackles (87 solos, 80 assists), 42.5 tackles for loss, 19.5 sacks, eight pass breakups, six forced fumbles, two blocked kicks, and two punt returns for 32 yards in 41 games for the Rams.
Jaworski was named a two-time First Team All-Patriot League, two-time First Team All-Patriot League by Phil Steele, Phil Steele Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, Second Team All-American by Stats Perform, and Fourth Team All-American by Phil Steele.
