The Hamilton Tiger-Cats extended the contract of wide receiver Kiondre Smith through the 2027 season on Tuesday.
Kiondre Smith is six foot one and weighs 180 pounds. The 26-year-old from Markham, Ontario, in 2026 has made 20 catches for 329 yards and three touchdowns in four games.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats drafted Smith in the fourth round (37th pick) of the 2022 CFL Draft. In 2022, he made 17 catches for 247 yards, one touchdown, one punt return for six yards, six tackles, and one tackle on special teams in 12 games. In 2023, he made 56 catches for 701 yards, one carry for three yards, two tackles, and one tackle on special teams in 18 games.
In 2024, he made 74 catches for 933 yards, seven touchdowns, and five tackles in 18 games. In 2025, he was named a CFL East All-Star after finishing the season with 86 catches for 1,126 yards, five touchdowns, and one carry for -5 yards in 18 games.
Collegiately, Smith played four seasons at the University of Guelph (2018-21) with 50 catches for 612 yards, five touchdowns, three carries for eight yards, two touchdowns, 45 kick returns for 822 yards, 112 punt returns for 1,065 yards, one touchdown, and five tackles (5 solos) in 25 games for the Gryphons.
