The Winnipeg Blue Bombers released wide receiver Gerald Monroe on Friday.

Gerald Monroe is five foot ten and weighs 185 pounds. A native of Glenn Heights, Texas, Monroe signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on December 17, 2025.

Collegiately, Monroe spent four seasons at Graceland University (2022-25) with 249 catches for 4,297 yards, 58 touchdowns, completed three passes for 78 yards, one touchdown, four carries for 18 yards, seven kick returns for 142 yards, seven punt returns for 38 yards, and seven tackles (7 solos) in 33 games for the Yellow Jackets.

He was named a two-time AFCA NAIA All-American, two-time First Team All-Heart North, and the Heart North Offensive Player of the Year in 2024.

In 2022, Monroe led the nation with 138 yards per game. He finished the season with 93 catches for 1,518 yards, 16 touchdowns, one carry for -3 yards, five kick returns for 101 yards, three punt returns for 10 yards, and two tackles (2 solos) in 11 games. He was named First Team AFCA NAIA All-American and First Team All-Heart North.

In 2024, Monroe made 84 catches for 1,562 yards, 22 touchdowns, two carries for 38 yards, one kick return for 23 yards, three punt returns for 14 yards, and five tackles (5 solos) in eight games. He was named First Team AFCA NAIA All-American, First Team All-Heart North, and the Heart North Offensive Player of the Year.

In 2025, he made 34 catches for 496 yards, nine touchdowns, completed two passes for 74 yards, one touchdown, one carry for -17 yards, and one punt return for 14 yards in eight games.
