The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed defensive back Gavin Gibson and released defensive back Kendall Bohler on Friday.

Gavin Gibson is six foot and weighs 185 pounds. The 21-year-old from Hickory, North Carolina, began his collegiate career at the University of Maryland (2022-23) with 32 tackles (24 solos, 8 assists), four tackles for loss, one sack, and three pass breakups in 22 games for the Terrapins.

Next, he transferred to East Carolina University in 2024 with 52 tackles (25 solos, 27 assists), 6.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions for 30 yards, one touchdown, six pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 13 games for the Pirates. He helped the Pirates beat N.C. State to win the Military Bowl after making five tackles (3 solos, 2 assists) and one tackle for loss.

Then, he transferred to North Carolina in 2025 with 38 tackles (25 solos, 13 assists), three tackles for loss, three pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 12 games for the Tar Heels.

Kendall Bohler is six foot and weighs 195 pounds. The 25-year-old from Orlando, Florida, signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on November 3, 2025.

The Denver Broncos signed Bohler as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025. The Broncos released him on May 12, 2025.

Collegiately, Bohler spent one season at Mercer University in 2019 with one tackle (1 solo), one interception for 30 yards, and one pass defended in two games for the Bears.

Then, he transferred to Florida A&M University (2021-24) with 105 tackles (73 solos, 32 assists), six tackles for loss, four interceptions for 14 yards, 33 pass breakups, one fumble recovery, two blocked kicks, one kick return for 22 yards, and one touchdown in 44 games for the Rattlers.

In 2023, he earned First Team All-SWAC, First Team All-SWAC by Phil Steele, and All-American by BOXTOROW after making 39 tackles (27 solos, 12 assists), two tackles for loss, one interception, and 15 pass breakups in 13 games. He was also named to the Reese’s Senior Bowl Watch List.

In his final season in 2024, he made 33 tackles (23 solos, 10 assists), three tackles for loss, one interception, five pass breakups, one kick return for 22 yards, and one blocked kick in 12 games. He was named Second Team All-SWAC. Bohler was also named an Aeneas Williams Award Finalist, East-West Shrine Bowl 1,000 Watch List, and invited to the Hula Bowl and HBCU Legacy Bowl.
