The Columbus Aviators signed defensive ends Syrus Webster and Jacoby Windmon on Thursday, according to the UFL Transactions page.
Syrus Webster is six foot four and weighs 254 pounds. A native of West Jordan, Utah, Webster attended the Seattle Seahawks rookie minicamp in 2026.
Collegiately, Webster spent three seasons at Utah Tech University (2021-23) with 161 tackles (80 solos, 81 assists), 27.5 tackles for loss, 14.5 sacks, one pass breakup, seven forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 33 games for the Trailblazers. In 2023, he made a career-high 79 tackles (32 solos, 47 assists), 12.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, four forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 11 games.
Then, he transferred to Washington State University in 2024 with 32 tackles (17 solos, 15 assists), 3.5 tackles for loss, and one sack in 13 games for the Cougars.
Jacoby Windmon is six foot two and weighs 250 pounds. The 24-year-old from New Orleans, Louisiana, signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. He also spent time with the Carolina Panthers. Windmon made 22 tackles (13 solos, 9 assists), one tackle for loss, 1.5 sacks, and two pass breakups in nine-career NFL games.
Collegiately, Windmon spent three seasons at UNLV (2019-21) with 169 tackles (100 solos, 69 assists), 18 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, four pass breakups, and three fumble recoveries in 30 games for the Rebels. In 2021, he was named Second Team All-Mountain West after finishing the season with a career-high 118 tackles (71 solos, 47 assists), 11 tackles for loss, six sacks, one pass breakup, and two forced fumbles in 12 games.
Then, he transferred to Michigan State University (2022-23) with 64 tackles (23 solos, 41 assists), 12.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, one interception, three pass breakups, six forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 11 games for the Spartans.
