The Montreal Alouettes signed wide receiver Javon Gipson on Tuesday.
Javon Gipson is six foot four and weighs 215 pounds. A native of Richmond, Texas, Gipson began his collegiate career at Baylor (2021-23) with two catches for 22 yards in 15 games for the Bears. Then, he transferred to Abilene Christian University (2024-25) with 87 catches for 1,357 yards, eight touchdowns, one carry for 17 yards, and two tackles (2 solos) in 26 games for the Wildcats.
In 2024, he made 23 catches for 335 yards, two touchdowns, and two tackles (2 solos) in 13 games. In 2025, he was named Third Team All-American by FCS Football Central after finishing the season with a career-high 64 catches for 1,022 yards, six touchdowns, and one carry for 17 yards in 13 games.
