The Toronto Argonauts released defensive back Damaje Yancey on Monday, according to the CFL Transactions page.
Damaje Yancey is six foot one and weighs 180 pounds. The 24-year-old from Long Beach, California, attended the Buffalo Bills rookie minicamp in 2025. The Toronto Argonauts signed Yancey on November 26, 2025.
Collegiately, Yancey spent three seasons at Southern Utah University (2020-22) with 54 tackles (39 solos, 15 assists) and eight pass breakups in 25 games for the Thunderbirds.
Then, he transferred to Troy (2023-24) with 51 tackles (36 solos, 15 assists), four tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception, and 10 pass breakups in 19 games for the Trojans. In 2024, he made 48 tackles (35 solos, 13 assists), four tackles for loss, two sacks, and nine pass breakups in 10 games.
The Argonauts also announced that offensive lineman George Moore and defensive backs Kennan Isaac and Delonte Hood were placed on the suspended list.
