The Edmonton Elks released wide receiver Justin Lockhart on Sunday.
Justin Lockhart is six foot three and weighs 196 pounds. A native of Los Angeles, California, Lockhart signed with the Edmonton Elks on November 24, 2025.
The Kansas City Chiefs signed Lockhart as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2025. He suffered an injury and was released on May 15, 2025.
Collegiately, Lockhart spent three seasons at Nevada (2019-21) with 67 catches for 744 yards, four touchdowns, one carry for nine yards, and one tackle (1 assist) in 26 games for the Wolf Pack. Then, he transferred to San Jose State University (2022-24) with 89 catches for 1,561 yards, six touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in 25 games for the Spartans.
In 2023, he missed the season due to an injury. In his final collegiate season in 2024, Lockhart had a career-high 53 catches for 983 yards (75.6 AVG/G), five touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in 13 games. He was named Second Team All-Mountain West and Second Team All-Mountain West by Phil Steele. He was also an All-Mountain West Honorable Mention in 2022.
