The Montreal Alouettes announced that defensive back Marc-Antoine Dequoy announced his retirement on Monday.

Marc-Antoine Dequoy is six foot one and weighs 195 pounds. The 31-year-old from Ile Bizard, Quebec City, made 34 tackles, four tackles on special teams, three sacks, one interception, and one touchdown in 15 games. In the Grey Cup playoffs, he made seven tackles and one fumble recovery.

The Green Bay Packers signed Dequoy as an undrafted free agent on April 30, 2020. He attended training camp and was released on August 15, 2020. The Montreal Alouettes drafted Dequoy in the second round (14th pick) in the 2020 CFL Draft. The Alouettes signed Dequoy on January 4, 2021.

In 2021, he made one tackle and eight tackles in eight games. A year later, he made 38 tackles, four tackles on special teams, four interceptions, and one forced fumble in 17 games.

In 2023, he made 57 tackles, five tackles on special teams, five interceptions, two touchdowns, and three forced fumbles in 18 games. In the Eastern Final against the Toronto Argonauts, Dequoy made an interception and returned it for a touchdown.

The Alouettes went on to win the Grey Cup over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He was named a CFL East All-Star and CFL All-Star. He was named the Lew Hayman Trophy, which is awarded to the outstanding Canadian player in the East Division. In 2024, he made 32 tackles, two interceptions, and one forced fumble in 15 games. He was named a CFL East All-Star and a CFL All-Star for the second year in a row.

Collegiately, Dequoy played four seasons at the University of Montreal (2016-19) with 103 tackles (85 solos, 18 assists), 3.5 tackles for loss, ten interceptions for 237 yards, six pass breakups, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries in 28 games for the Carabins.

He was named a U Sports First Team All-Canadian in 2019, a Quebec conference (RSEQ) All-Star (2017), and a U Sports Second Team All-Canadian in 2017.

In his final season, Dequoy had 41 tackles (34 solos, 7 assists), one tackle for loss, three interceptions for 20 yards, and one pass breakup in eight games. During the 55th Vanier Cup, Dequoy broke his right forearm while making a tackle.
