The Memphis Showboats signed offensive lineman Chance Lytle on Sunday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Chance Lytle is six foot seven and weighs 340 pounds. The 25-year-old from San Antonio, Texas, attended the New York Giants rookie minicamp in 2023. The Memphis Showboats signed Lytle on August 4, 2023. However, Memphis released him on March 23, 2024.
Collegiately, Lytle played five seasons at Colorado (2017-21) playing 30 games for the Buffaloes. In 2019, he was named to the NFF/Colorado Chapter All-Academic honorable mention team. He played three games in his final season in 2020 before an injury sidelined him for the season.
In 2021, Colorado averaged 18.75 points per game, 126.2 rushing yards per game, 131.25 passing yards per game, 257.4 total yards per game, 26 touchdowns, and allowed 32 sacks finishing 4-8 for the season. He was named as an honorable mention Academic All-Colorado by the Colorado Chapter of the National Football Foundation.
Then, he transferred to Duke in 2022 playing both right and left guard for the Blue Devils. In 2022, Duke averaged 32.85 points per game, 184.2 rushing yards per game, 231.54 passing yards per game, 415.7 total yards per game, 54 touchdowns, and allowed 17 sacks finishing 9-4 for the season. He was named Academic All-ACC selection.
