The San Antonio Brahmas signed defensive end Tariqious Tisdale, defensive tackle Jaylen Twyman, and defensive back Derrick Langford on Wednesday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Tariqious Tisdale is six foot five and weighs 285 pounds. The 26-year-old from Lexington, Tennessee, signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2022. Tisdale made one tackle (1 solo) in two preseason games.
Next, the Houston Roughnecks drafted Tisdale in the seventh round (52nd pick) in Phase 3 of the 2022 XFL Draft. Then, the Roughnecks drafted Tisdale to the Seattle Sea Dragons on January 29, 2023. In 2023, Tisdale made five tackles (2 solo, 3 assists), two tackles for loss, and two sacks in two games.
Tisdale became a free agent after the Sea Dragons were not included in the XFL and USFL merger forming the United Football League (UFL), and signed with the D.C. Defenders on January 22, 2024, but was released on March 21, 2024.
Collegiately, Tisdale played one season at Northwest Mississippi Community College in 2017 making 31 tackles (16 solo, 15 assists), 11 tackles for loss, five sacks, one pass breakup, and one forced fumble in 11 games for the Rangers. Then, Tisdale transferred to Ole Miss (2018-21) making 88 tackles (33 solo, 55 assists), 9 tackles for loss, and three sacks in 35 games for the Rebels. Tisdale was on the 2022 Reese’s Senior watch list.
Jaylen Twyman is six foot two and weighs 285 pounds. The 24-year-old from Washington, D.C., made one tackle (1 solo) in one game for the Birmingham Stallions in 2024 before he was released on May 1, 2024. The Stallions signed Twyman as a free agent on December 24, 2023.
Before Birmingham, Twyman was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the sixth round (199th pick) in the 2021 NFL Draft. He spent two seasons on Minnesota’s practice squad. Then, he signed with the Miami Dolphins as a free agent on October 12, 2022, and spent the season on the practice squad. In 2023, Twyman made five tackles (2 solo, 3 assists) and 1.5 sacks in three preseason games for the Miami Dolphins.
Collegiately, Twyman played four seasons at Pittsburgh (2017-20) with 57 tackles (29 solo, 28 assists), 13.5 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, and two pass breakups in 26 games for the Panthers.
Derrick Langford is six foot one and weighs 205 pounds. The 24-year-old from Richmond, California, signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2023. He played three preseason games with 8 tackles (7 solo, 1 assist), and two pass breakups.
Next, Langford signed with the New Jersey Generals on October 31, 2023. Langford became a free agent after the Generals were not included in the USFL and XFL merger forming the United Football League (UFL).
Collegiately, Langford played one season at San Francisco Community College in 2018 with 30 tackles (25 solo, 5 assists), one interception, and four pass breakups in 11 games for the Rams.
Then, Langford transferred to Washington State (2019-22) with 91 tackles (60 solo, 31 assists), one tackle for loss, four interceptions for 71 yards, one touchdown, 17 pass breakups, and three forced fumbles in 39 games for the Cougars.
