The St. Louis Battlehawks signed defensive tackle Austin Faoliu on Monday.
Austin Faoliu is six foot three and weighs 305 pounds. The 25-year-old from Santa Ana, California, made 24 tackles (11 solo, 13 assists), two tackles for loss, one sack, and two pass breakups in ten games for the Seattle Sea Dragons (XFL) in 2023.
The Sea Dragons drafted Faoliu in the fourth round (31st pick) in Phase 3 of the 2022 XFL Draft. After the season, Faoliu signed with the Seattle Seahawks making one tackle (1 assist) in two games before he was sent to the practice squad.
Before Seattle, Faoliu signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2021. In 2021, Faoliu made two tackles (2 solo) in one game for the Cowboys against the Carolina Panthers.
Collegiately, Faoliu played four seasons at Oregon (2017-20) with 124 tackles (60 solo, 64 assists), 10 tackles for loss, five sacks, one pass breakup, and three forced fumbles in 43 games for the Ducks.
