The Northern Arizona Wranglers (IFL) signed wide receiver John Maldonado on Friday, December 8, 2023.
John Maldonado is six foot and weighs 208 pounds. The 24-year-old from Glassboro, New Jersey, played five seasons at Rowan University (2018-22) with 157 catches for 2,225 yards, 20 touchdowns, four carries for 16 yards, one touchdown, and ten punt returns for 58 yards in 38 games for the Owls. Maldonado earned the Team Captain title in his junior and senior seasons.
In his final season at Rowan in 2022, Maldonado made 56 catches for 837 yards, 11 touchdowns, four carries for 16 yards, one touchdown, and six punt returns for 23 yards in ten games. He was a two-time First Team All-NJAC and voted to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Football Team.
