The B.C. Lions signed linebacker John Petrishen to the practice squad on Tuesday.
John Petrishen is six foot one and weighs 225 pounds. The 27-year-old from Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania, attended rookie minicamps for the Buffalo Bills and Washington Commanders in 2023.
Collegiately, Petrishen played two seasons at Penn State (2017-18) with eight tackles (5 solo, 3 assists), and one tackle for loss in 17 games for the Nittany Lions.
Then, he transferred to the University of Pittsburgh (2019-21) with 88 tackles (35 solo, 53 assists), 10.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, three interceptions for 35 yards, one touchdown, four pass breakups, and one blocked kick in 32 games for the Panthers. He was an All-ACC Honorable Mention in 2021.
