The Penn State Nittany Lions (2-0) hosted the Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens (1-1) on Saturday afternoon from Beaver Stadium.
Penn State had 541 yards on offense. Quarterback Drew Allar completed 22 of 26 passes (84.6%) for 204 yards, and one touchdown as the Nittany Lions routed the Blue Hens by the final score of 63-7.
Running back Nicholas Singleton had 12 carries for 47 yards, three touchdowns, and one catch for 18 yards, while Kaytron Allen had 19 carries for 103 yards and one touchdown. Wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith led the receivers with six catches for 74 yards.
Penn State’s defense had 31 tackles, seven tackles for loss, four sacks, one pass breakup, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown.
Delaware had 140 yards on offense. Quarterback Ryan O’Connor completed 3 of 10 passes (30%) for 21 yards, and Zach Marker completed 3 of 7 passes (43%) for 37 yards, one interception, and five carries for -13 yards.
Running back Marcus Yarns had six carries for 86 yards, and one touchdown, and wide receiver JoJo Bermudez had two catches for 32 yards. Delaware’s defense had 102 tackles, three tackles for loss, and one pass breakup.
