The Calgary Stampeders announced on Friday that current St. Francis Xavier quarterback Silas Fagnan will attend the team’s training camp as part of the CFL’s quarterback internship program.
Silas Fagnan is six foot two and weighs 190 pounds. The 22-year-old from Bonnyville, Alberta, completed 139 of 234 passes (59.4%) for 1,935 yards, 13 touchdowns, 7 interceptions, 39 carries for 233 yards, and one touchdown in eight games for the X-Men in 2022.
Fagnan has played two seasons at St. Francis Xavier (2021-22) completing 239 of 381 passes (62.7%) for 3,232 yards, 23 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, 67 carries for 367 yards, four touchdowns, and one catch for one yard in 13 games. He is a two-time Atlantic University Sport all-star and was the conference’s Most Outstanding Player in 2021.
