The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed former Idaho defensive lineman Charles Akanno on Monday. Charles Akanno is six foot one and weighs 250 pounds.

The 25-year-old from Inglewood, California, made 44 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, four pass breakups, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and one touchdown in 11 games for the Vandals in 2021. He was named Third-Team All-Big Sky in 2021.

Akanno played five seasons at Idaho (2017-21) with 147 tackles, 48.5 sacks, 20.5 sacks, 21 pass breakups, nine forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries, and one touchdown in 46 games.
