BC Lions add six players

The BC Lions officially started the offseason by re-signing six players to contract extensions: FBs David Mackie and Mario Villamizar, WRs Jacob Scarfone and Marcus Davis, DB Jamie Harry, and DB/LB O’Shane Samuels.

David Mackie is a 27-year-old from Jackson’s Point, Ontario, out of the University of Western Ontario, played 14 games this season with three catches for 14-yards and special teams tackles. In 42 career games, he has ten catches for 79-yards and 18 special teams tackles.

Mario Villamizar is a 26-year-old from St. Catherines, Ontario, out of Wilfrid Laurier University, who played five games after rupturing his Achilles tendon early in 2021. He played mainly on special teams.

Jacob Scarfone is a 27-year-old from London, Ontario, out of the University of Guelph, who played 14 games this year with six catches for 85-yards and one touchdown. He scored his first career touchdown back on October 30th, against the Toronto Argonauts. In 25 career games, Scarfone has caught nine passes for 102-yards and one touchdown.

Marcus Davis is a 25-year-old from Victoria, British Columbia, out of the University of British Columbia, played one game on special teams. He returned two punts for 13-yards.

Jamie Harry is a 27-year-old from Lachine, Quebec, out of the University of Ottawa, who played ten games with six tackles and two special teams tackles. He played in the regular-season finale after recovering from a thumb injury.

O’Shane Samuels is a 25-year-old from Brampton, Ontario, who played for the Edmonton Huskies of the Canadian Junior Football League. Samuels played fourteen games this year with five special teams tackles. In 21 career games, he has 14 special teams tackles.
