The NASCAR Cup Series visited Phoenix Raceway on Sunday afternoon in the Freeway Insurance 500. Ryan Blaney started the race on the pole, with Joey Logano starting second.

Joey Logano led 84 laps, including sweeping both stages. Late in the race, Kyle Larson had a right front tire go down on lap 281, and he hit the wall in Turns one and two to bring out the caution. Larson finished in 34th place. With 30 laps to go, Tyler Reddick went to pit road to take two tires under caution. The two-tire strategy allowed him to move up to four spots.

Chase Briscoe was leading the race on lap 294. Ty Gibbs and Chase Elliott made contact, allowing Reddick to pass them both for second place. A lap later, Reddick moved to the inside lane to take the lead. Reddick led the final 17 laps to win his sixth race of the season by 0.801 seconds over Ryan Blaney. With the win, he trails Kyle Larson by 56 points for the championship lead.

Chase Elliott, Christopher Bell, and Corey Heim rounded out the top five. Joey Logano, Daniel Suarez, Chase Briscoe, Ross Chastain, and Ty Gibbs completed the top ten. Click here to view the full results. There were 21 lead changes, among 10 drivers, and six cautions for 43 laps.
