The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed wide receiver Rashod Owens to the practice squad on Thursday.
Rashod Owens is six foot two and weighs 200 pounds. The 24-year-old from San Antonio, Texas, signed with the Calgary Stampeders on January 28, 2026. In 2026, he made four catches for 59 yards in two preseason games, earning a spot on the practice squad. The Stampeders released him on July 20, 2026.
The Cincinnati Bengals signed Owens as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025. In 2025, he made three catches for 25 yards in three preseason games. The Bengals released him on August 25, 2025.
Collegiately, Owens spent five seasons at Oklahoma State (2020-24) with 120 catches for 1,771 yards, 10 touchdowns, and five tackles (5 solos) in 52 games for the Cowboys. In 2023, he made a career-high 63 catches for 895 yards, five touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in 14 games. Owens was named the Texas Bowl MVP in 2023 after making 10 catches for 164 yards and two touchdowns against Texas A&M.
