The NASCAR Cup Series visited Iowa Speedway on Sunday afternoon in the Iowa Corn 350 Powered by Ethanol. Ryan Blaney started the race on the pole, with Kyle Larson starting second.
Ryan Blaney led the first 93 laps, including winning the first stage. There was only one caution during the first stage involving Tyler Reddick and Erik Jones on the fifth lap. In the second stage, Chase Elliott, Bubba Wallace, and Ryan Blaney all led laps. There were four cautions during the second stage, including Hendrick teammates Kyle Larson and Alex Bowman crashing on lap 150. Christopher Bell led 69 laps to win the second stage.
Chase Elliott was the leader to start the final stage. Ryan Blaney cleared Elliott at Turn 4 to take the lead, while Christopher Bell battled him for second place. Bell and Ross Chastain both got by Elliott. Late in the final stage, Ty Gibbs passed Blaney for second place and began to chase down Ross Chastain for the lead. Chastain went to pit road on lap 330, handing the lead to Gibbs.
From there, Christopher Bell was chasing Gibbs. Bell got close, but not close enough. Ty Gibbs led the final 20 laps to win his second race of the season by 0.253 seconds over Christopher Bell. Ryan Blaney, Josh Berry, and Denny Hamlin rounded out the top five. Chase Briscoe, Ross Chastain, A.J. Allmendinger, William Byron, and Austin Dillon completed the top ten.
