The Ottawa Redblacks acquired tight end Jevoni Robinson from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for a conditional 2027 eighth-round draft pick.
Jevoni Robinson is six foot eight and weighs 225 pounds. The 33-year-old from Portmore, Jamaica, was on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats practice squad in 2026.
The Houston Texans signed Robinson to the practice squad on December 26, 2017. He played one preseason game before he was released on September 1, 2018. Robinson signed with the San Antonio Commanders of the Alliance of American Football in 2019. However, the Commanders released him on March 4, 2019.
In 2021, Robinson played for the Sea Lions (TSL) with three catches for 19 yards. Then, Robinson signed with the St. Louis Battlehawks on February 4, 2023. He was released five days later.
The B.C. Lions drafted Robinson in the first round (7th pick) of the 2023 CFL Global Draft. In 2023, he made three catches for 33 yards in two preseason games, earning a spot on the practice squad. The Lions released him on November 13, 2023.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed Robinson on January 25, 2024. In 2024, he made 19 catches for 209 yards and three touchdowns in 16 games. In 2025, he made 14 catches for 214 yards and two touchdowns in 18 games.
Collegiately, Robinson played college basketball at N.C. State (2012-13), playing 17 games for the Wolfpack before transferring to Barry University in 2014, playing 31 games for the Buccaneers. After his collegiate career ended, Robinson played one season in Italy for the Angri Pallacanestro.
