The Carolina Panthers signed defensive tackle Kyon Barrs on Friday, according to Michael Del Negro.
Kyon Barrs is six foot two and weighs 290 pounds. The 24-year-old from Murrieta, California, was drafted by the Houston Gamblers in the 2026 UFL Draft. In 2026, he made 27 tackles (11 solos, 16 assists), three tackles for loss, half a sack, and four pass breakups in 10 games.
The Seattle Seahawks signed Barrs as an undrafted free agent on August 7, 2024. In 2024, Barrs made three tackles (2 solos, 1 assist) in three preseason games. The Seahawks released Barrs on September 3, 2024. Barrs signed with the Arlington Renegades on December 4, 2024. In 2025, he made 24 tackles (7 solos, 17 assists), one tackle for loss, one sack, and one pass breakup in 10 games.
The Renegades released him on July 19, 2025, and he signed with the Arizona Cardinals on the same day. Barrs made six tackles (4 solos, 2 assists) and one sack in three preseason games. The Cardinals released him on September 22, 2025.
Collegiately, Barrs played four seasons at Arizona (2019-22) with 102 tackles (50 solos, 52 assists), 12.5 tackles for loss, and five sacks in 38 games for the Wildcats. He was named Second Team All-PAC 12 in 2021. Then, Barrs transferred to USC in 2023 with 18 tackles (7 solos, 11 assists) in 13 games for the Trojans.
