The Montreal Alouettes signed wide receiver and returner Mekhi Mews on Friday.
Mekhi Mews is five foot eight and weighs 185 pounds. The 23-year-old from Grayson, Georgia, attended the New Orleans Saints rookie minicamp in 2026.
Collegiately, Mews spent three seasons at the University of Georgia (2021-23), where he won two National Championships in 2021 and 2022 with 15 catches for 164 yards, one touchdown, one carry for -2 yards, 16 kick returns for 414 yards, 22 punt returns for 230 yards, one returning touchdown, and one tackle (1 solo) in 18 games for the Bulldogs.
Then, he transferred to the University of Houston (2024-24) with 35 catches for 277 yards, one touchdown, eight carries for four yards, 26 kick returns for 600 yards, 39 punt returns for 258 yards, one returning touchdown, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in 26 games for the Cougars.
