The B.C. Lions released linebacker Terrence Ganyi on Thursday, according to the CFL Transactions page.

Terrence Ganyi is six foot two and weighs 220 pounds. The 27-year-old from Montreal, Quebec, made three tackles in one preseason game. In 2026, Ganyi appeared in one game against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

The B.C. Lions drafted Ganyi in the sixth round (53rd pick) in the 2024 CFL Draft. In 2024, he made seven tackles on special teams in 17 games. In 2025, he made eight tackles on special teams in 18 games.

Collegiately, Ganyi played two seasons at the University of Connecticut (2018-19) with 13 tackles (5 solos, 8 assists), a half tackle for loss, and one kick return for five yards in 13 games for the Huskies. Then, Ganyi transferred to Maine (2022-23) with 12 tackles (6 solos, 6 assists) and a half tackle for loss in 10 games for the Black Bears.
