The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series visited Nashville Superspeedway on Friday night in the Allegiance 200. Layne Riggs started the race on the pole, with Kaden Honeycutt starting second. The race was delayed by three hours due to rain.
Once the rain, it was the Layne Riggs show. He led a race-high 99 of 150 laps, including the first 98 laps and sweeping both stages. In the final stage, Rajah Caruth led 44 laps, and Ross Chastain led seven laps. After debris brought on the caution on lap 130, Riggs went to pit road for tires and fuel. The caution was one of eight throughout the race for 48 laps.
Rajah Caruth was leading the race with Chandler Smith behind him. Riggs raced his way to the front to make a three-way battle for the lead. On the final lap, Smith took a look, but Caruth kept the lead. Meanwhile, Riggs took second and later passed Caruth on the outside of Turn 2. Riggs went on to win the race by 0.468 seconds for his second straight win, and the third of the season.
Rajah Caruth, Chandler Smith, Ross Chastain, and Ryler Ankrum rounded out the top five. Stewart Friesen, Grant Enfinger, Christian Eckes, Gio Ruggiero, and Daniel Dye completed the top ten. Click here to see the full results.
