The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed wide receivers Kolby Hurford and Jackson Tachinski, and defensive tackle Kaleb Mackie-McLeod on Tuesday.
Kolby Hurford is six foot one and weighs 183 pounds. The 24-year-old from Redwater, Alberta, re-signed with the Edmonton Elks on December 5, 2025. They released him on May 13, 2026.
The Edmonton Elks drafted Hurford in the seventh round (58th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft. In 2025, Hurford made two catches for 19 yards in two preseason games. The Elks released him on May 31, 2025, as he returned to Alberta for his final collegiate season.
Collegiately, Hurford played five seasons at the University of Alberta (2021-25) with 127 catches for 1,850 yards, 14 touchdowns, three carries for five yards, five kick returns for 47 yards, 10 punt returns for 138 yards, punting the ball one time for 41 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 42 games for the Golden Bears. He was selected to play in the East-West Bowl in 2024.
In 2025, Hurford made a career-high 40 catches for 438 yards, two touchdowns, one carry for -1 yard, punting the ball one time for 41 yards, four kick returns for 46 yards, and one punt return for seven yards in eight games.

Kaleb Mackie-McLeod is six foot four and weighs 275 pounds. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Mackie-McLeod spent four seasons at the University of Manitoba (2022-25) with 90 tackles (50 solos, 40 assists), 7.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, two forced fumbles, and one blocked kick in 28 games for the Bisons. In 2025, he made 27 tackles (15 solos, 12 assists), one tackle for loss, one sack, one forced fumble, and one blocked kick in nine games.
