The Ottawa Redblacks signed defensive lineman Tyce Westland and defensive back Quentin Moten on Monday.
Tyce Westland is six foot five and weighs 240 pounds. The 23-year-old from Pleasanton, Nebraska, spent five seasons at Wyoming (2021-25) with 102 tackles (51 solos, 51 assists), 18 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, three pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 35 games for the Cowboys. In 2025, he made a career-high 43 tackles (24 solos, 19 assists), 7.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, two pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 12 games.
Quentin Moten is six foot and weighs 185 pounds. The 24-year-old from Rancho Cucamonga, California, began his collegiate career at the College of San Mateo in 2021 with 11 tackles (10 solos, 1 assist), one tackle for loss, one fumble recovery, and three pass breakups in eight games for the Bulldogs. Next, he transferred to the College of the Canyons in 2022 with eight tackles (8 solos), four interceptions, and seven pass breakups in eight games for the Cougars.
Then, he transferred to UNLV in 2023 with 13 tackles (10 solos, 3 assists), one interception, and one pass breakup in eight games for the Rebels. After sitting out in 2024, Moten concluded his collegiate career at Northern Arizona in 2025, where he was named First Team All-Big Sky Conference, and All-American (Honorable Mention by the Associated Press, Third Team by FCS Football Central) after finishing the season with 29 tackles (14 solos, 15 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, four interceptions, and nine pass breakups in 10 games for the Lumberjacks.
The Redblacks released defensive backs Cam Lockridge and Gavin Holmes, and kicker Jayden Fielding.
