The Orlando Storm placed linebacker Tavante Beckett on the injured reserve list on Wednesday, according to the UFL Transactions page.

Tavante Beckett is five foot ten and weighs 220 pounds. The 27-year-old from Chesapeake, Virginia, was protected by the Orlando Storm in the UFL Reserve Player List. In 2026, he made 25 tackles (17 solos, 8 assists), one tackle for loss, and three pass breakups in five games.

Beckett signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent on May 3, 2021. He played four games for the Lions with no stats. The Lions released him on May 10, 2022. The Houston Roughnecks drafted Beckett in the third round (20th pick) in Phase 3 of the 2023 XFL Draft. The Brahmas re-signed Beckett on August 27, 2024. In 2025, he made 77 tackles (39 solos, 38 assists), five tackles for loss, one sack, and four pass breakups in 10 games. He was named to the All-UFL Team.

Collegiately, Beckett played two seasons at Virginia Tech (2016-17) with six tackles (2 solo, 4 assists) and half a tackle for loss in 16 games for the Hokies. Then, he transferred to Marshall (2019-20) with 211 tackles (80 solo, 131 assists), 14.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, one interception, six pass breakups, four forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, and one touchdown in 22 games for the Thundering Herd.
