The B.C. Lions signed wide receiver Kaiden Robinson, defensive lineman A.J. Pena, and offensive lineman Brock Bethea on Tuesday.
Kaiden Robinson is six foot two and weighs 205 pounds. The 25-year-old from Asheville, North Carolina, signed with the B.C. Lions on November 25, 2025. The Lions released him on November 25, 2025. He attended the New York Jets mini-camp in 2026.
Collegiately, Robinson began his collegiate career at ASA Brooklyn in 2019 with 37 catches for 879 yards and nine touchdowns in 10 games for the Avengers. Robinson was named an NJCAA All-American Honorable Mention in 2019 and an All-Northeast Football Conference selection.
He did not play in 2020. Next, he transferred to the University of Central Florida in 2021 with one catch for 30 yards and one touchdown in four games for the Knights.
Then, he transferred to Appalachian State (2022-24) with 147 catches for 2,164 yards (63.6 AVG/G), 14 touchdowns, three carries for 29 yards, four punt returns for 73 yards, and two kick returns for 28 yards in 34 games for the Mountaineers.
In his final collegiate season in 2024, Robinson made 53 catches for 840 yards, two touchdowns, one carry for 13 yards, and two punt returns for 36 yards in nine games before an injury ended his season. He was named an All-Sun Belt Honorable Mention, Second Team All-Sun Belt by PFN, and First Team All-Sun Belt. Robinson was set to transfer to UCLA in 2025, but his additional year of eligibility was denied by a judge.
A.J. Pena is six foot two and weighs 243 pounds. A native of Montclair, New Jersey, Pena spent four seasons at Rhode Island (2022-25) with 235 tackles (124 solos, 111 assists), 65.5 tackles for loss, 38 sacks, one interception for 28 yards, 10 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and one blocked kick in 50 games for the Rams.
In 2024, he was named First Team All-CAA by Phil Steele, First Team All-CAA, First Team All-American by Phil Steele, and a Buck Buchanan Award Finalist after finishing the season with a career-high 82 tackles (45 solos, 37 assists), 22.5 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, two pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries in 14 games.
Brock Bethea is six foot five and weighs 305 pounds. A native of Pinson, Alabama, Bethea spent four seasons at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (2019-22), playing 10 games for the Mocs. In 2021, the offensive line tied the school record for sacks allowed (9). Chattanooga averaged 374.2 yards per game, 168.7 passing yards per game, 205.5 rushing yards per game, and 35 touchdowns.
Then, he transferred to Rhode Island (2023-25), playing right tackle and left tackle in 39 games for the Rams. In 2024, he was named Second Team All-CAA and Fifth Team All-CAA by Phil Steele after starting at left tackle in 14 games. Rhode Island averaged 24.3 points per game, 362.3 yards per game, 210 passing yards per game, 152.3 rushing yards per game, and 44 touchdowns. The offensive line helped running back Malik Grant break Rhode Island’s single-season rushing record with 1,426 yards.
In 2025, he was named Second Team All-CAA after starting at left tackle in 14 games. Rhode Island averaged 31.2 points per game, 429.9 yards per game, 288.9 passing yards per game, 141 rushing yards per game, and 57 touchdowns.
The Lions released a total of 12 players. They are quarterback Thomas Rittenhouse, running back Tony Jones Jr., wide receivers Anthony Sambucci and Marquez Callaway, offensive lineman Logan Zshcernitz, defensive lineman Buddha Peletti, linebacker Dawson Pierre, and defensive backs Alex Teubner, Joshua Pickett, Duron Lowe, Jhamell Blenman, and Adonis Alexander.
