The Ottawa Redblacks signed running back Julian Gray, wide receivers John Dunmore and T.J. Speight, and defensive backs Jordan Perryman and Shadwel Nkuba II on Wednesday. They also released offensive lineman Marcus “Tank” Jenkins and defensive back Abe Camara.
Julian Gray is five foot eleven and weighs 195 pounds. A native of Huntersville, North Carolina, Gray spent three seasons at North Carolina State University (2021-23) with 30 catches for 293 yards, one touchdown, eight carries for 60 yards, 33 kick returns for 822 yards, and one touchdown in 28 games for the Wolfpack.
Then, he transferred to Liberty (2024-25) with 25 catches for 315 yards, three touchdowns, 27 carries for 164 yards, two rushing touchdowns, 28 kick returns for 661 yards, and one touchdown in 16 games for the Flames.
John Dunmore is six foot two and weighs 185 pounds. A native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Dunmore spent two seasons at Oregon State University (2021-22) with 10 catches for 99 yards and completed one pass for 41 yards in 16 games for the Beavers.
Then, he transferred to Towson (2023-25) with 96 catches for 1,252 yards, 12 touchdowns, two carries for 64 yards, one rushing touchdown, completed 1 of 3 passes (33%) for 33 yards, one touchdown, 10 kick returns for 169 yards, and 23 punt returns for 170 yards in 26 games for the Tigers.
T.J. Speight is five foot eleven and weighs 170 pounds. A native of Fort Meade, Maryland, Speight spent five seasons at Monmouth University (2021-25) with 154 catches for 1,959 yards, 12 touchdowns, 16 carries for 148 yards, one rushing touchdown, 38 kick returns for 937 yards, two returning touchdowns, and seven tackles (6 solos, 1 assist) in 42 games for the Hawks.
In 2025, he made 72 catches for 861 yards, six touchdowns, five carries for 25 yards, and 12 kick returns for 276 yards in 12 games. He was named Second Team All-CAA in 2024.
Jordan Perryman is six foot and weighs 202 pounds. The 27-year-old from Hanford, California, re-signed with the B.C. Lions on December 19, 2024. In 2025, Perryman made six tackles in two preseason games. The Lions released him on June 1, 2025. The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed Perryman to the practice squad on October 7, 2025. They released him on October 29, 2025.
The Las Vegas Raiders signed Perryman as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023, but he did not play in the preseason due to an undisclosed injury. The Raiders released him on September 5, 2023.
The B.C. Lions signed Perryman on February 26, 2024. In 2024, he made seven tackles, six tackles on special teams, and one forced fumble in 10 games. The Lions released him on November 3, 2024.
Collegiately, Perryman played five seasons at the University of California-Davis (2017-21) with 140 tackles (117 solos, 23 assists), 3.5 tackles for loss, four interceptions for 21 yards, 23 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and three kick returns for 35 yards in 42 games for the Aggies. He was named First Team All-Big Sky Conference and Third Team All-American by Phil Steele in 2021.
Then, Perryman transferred to Washington in 2022 with 37 tackles (25 solos, 12 assists) and one pass breakup in ten games for the Huskies.
Shadwel Nkuba II is six foot and weighs 190 pounds. The 24-year-old from Lewisville, Texas, began his collegiate career as a redshirt Freshman at East Central University in 2020, but did not play for the Tigers due to the cancellation of the season. Next, he transferred to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (2023-24) with 13 tackles (11 solos, 2 assists) and five pass breakups in 17 games for the Rajin’ Cajuns.
Then, he transferred to Illinois State in 2025, where he was named First Team All-MVFC, MVFC Newcomer of the Year, and All-American after finishing the season with a career-high 79 tackles (45 solos, 34 assists), 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack, five interceptions, 13 pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 17 games for the Redbirds.
Marcus “Tank” Jenkins is six foot three and weighs 320 pounds. A native of Montgomery, Alabama, Jenkins signed with the Ottawa Redblacks on April 28, 2026.
Collegiately, Jenkins began his collegiate career at Texas A&M (2018-19), but did not see any action for the Aggies. Then, he transferred to the University of Houston (2020-24), playing 2,674 snaps at right guard in 50 games for the Cougars. In 2024, he played 621 snaps in 11 games, of which 10 were starts. Houston averaged 14 points per game, 288.1 yards per game, 152.7 passing yards per game, 135.4 rushing yards per game, and 20 touchdowns.
Abraham ‘Abe’ Camara is six foot and weighs 190 pounds. A native of Alpharetta, Georgia, attended the Carolina Panthers rookie minicamp in 2025. The Ottawa Redblacks signed Camara on March 18, 2026.
Collegiately, Camara spent two seasons at Coffeyville Community College (2019-20) with five tackles (2 solos, 3 assists), one tackle for loss, and one pass breakup in five games for the Red Ravens.
Then, Camara transferred to Texas Christian University (2021-24) with 150 tackles (101 solos, 49 assists), nine tackles for loss, one interception, 15 pass breakups, and three forced fumbles in 48 games for the Horned Frogs. In 2024, he was named a Big 12 Honorable Mention after finishing the season with a career-high 55 tackles (28 solos, 27 assists), six tackles for loss, six pass breakups, and two forced fumbles in 13 games.
Camara attended West Forsyth High School, where in his senior season made 100 tackles, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and two pass breakups. Camara received Player of the Game honors six times in his high school career. He was named First Team All-Region in his junior season as he finished the season with 94 tackles, seven tackles for loss, five pass breakups, and three interceptions.
