The Orlando Storm signed defensive backs Chris Claybrooks and Jason Taylor II on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Chris Claybrooks is five foot nine and weighs 180 pounds. The 27-year-old from Nashville, Tennessee, was drafted by the Orlando Storm in the 2026 UFL Draft. He attended training camp, and the team released him on March 19, 2026.
The Jacksonville Jaguars drafted Claybrooks in the seventh round (223rd pick) of the 2020 NFL Draft. Claybrooks played three seasons in Jacksonville with 81 tackles (60 solos, 21 assists), one tackle for loss, five pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, 22 kick returns for 454 yards, and three punt returns for 12 yards in 46 games, of which six were starts. In 2023, he made four tackles (2 solos, 2 assists) in three preseason games.
The Arlington Renegades signed Claybrooks on January 22, 2025. In 2025, Claybrooks made 13 tackles (13 solos), one tackle for loss, one interception, and two pass breakups in seven games.
Collegiately, Claybrooks played one season at Fort Scott Community College as a wide receiver in 2016 with 40 catches for 421 yards, four touchdowns, one carry for two yards, nine kick returns for 200 yards, 10 punt returns for 136 yards, and one touchdown in seven games for the Greyhounds.
Next, he transferred to Coahoma Community College in 2017 with two catches for 23 yards, one kick return for five yards, and one punt return for one yard in one game for the Tigers.
Then, he transferred to Memphis (2018-19), switching to play defensive back with 54 tackles (43 solos, 11 assists), half a tackle for loss, half a sack, two interceptions for 37 yards, one touchdown, five pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 21 games for the Tigers.
Jason Taylor II is six foot and weighs 205 pounds. The 26-year-old from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was drafted by the Orlando Storm in the 2026 UFL Draft. He attended training camp, and the team released him on March 19, 2026.
The Los Angeles Rams drafted Taylor II in the seventh round (234th pick) of the 2023 NFL Draft. He also spent time with the Arizona Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs. He made five tackles (5 solos) in eight-career NFL games.
Collegiately, Taylor II spent five seasons at Oklahoma State (2018-22) with 175 tackles (138 solos, 37 assists), 11 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, eight interceptions, one touchdown, 11 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, one touchdown, and one kick return for 48 yards in 54 games for the Cowboys. He was named First Team All-Big 12, Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year Honorable Mention, and All-Big 12 Honorable Mention.
