The B.C. Lions signed wide receiver Michael Fitzgerald and defensive linemen David Gusta and Buddha Peleti on Monday.

Michael Fitzgerald is six foot six and weighs 210 pounds. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Fitzgerald began his collegiate career at the University of Massachusetts (2021-22) with three catches for 35 yards in 12 games for the Minutemen.

Next, he transferred to the University of Central Missouri (2023-24) with 55 catches for 835 yards, eight touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in 22 games for the Mules. In 2023, he made a career-high 32 catches for 526 yards and five touchdowns in 13 games.

Then, he transferred to Wyoming in 2025 with 16 catches for 228 yards, three touchdowns, and two tackles (2 solos) in 12 games for the Cowboys.

David Gusta is six foot three and weighs 316 pounds. A native of San Bernardino, California, began his collegiate career at Washington State (2021-24) with 62 tackles (28 solos, 34 assists), six tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and four pass breakups in 32 games for the Cougars. In 2023, he made a career-high 30 tackles (10 solos, 20 assists), two tackles for loss, and a half sack in 11 games.

Then, he transferred to Kentucky in 2025 with 12 tackles (3 solos, 9 assists), three tackles for loss, and one sack in 12 games for the Wildcats. After the season, he earned an invite to the East-West Bowl.

Buddha Peleti is six foot two and weighs 250 pounds. A native of Adelanto, California, Peleti began his collegiate career at New Mexico State University (2022-24) with 58 tackles (27 solos, 31 assists), 13 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, one pass breakup, and two forced fumbles.

Then, he transferred to Washington State in 2025 with 22 tackles (10 solos, 12 assists), seven tackles for loss, and four sacks in 13 games for the Cougars. He had a sack in the Apple Cup against Washington, and made two tackles and one sack against Utah State, helping them win the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

The Lions released quarterback Gevani McCoy, running back Antonio Wimbush Jr., linebacker Marvin Grant, and defensive backs Marquis Bridges and Jamal Parker Jr.

Gevani McCoy is six foot and weighs 195 pounds. A native of Baldwin Hills, California, signed with the B.C. Lions on February 13, 2026.

Collegiately, McCoy began his collegiate career at the University of Idaho (2021-23), completing 448 of 684 passes (65%) for 5,834 yards, 43 touchdowns, 19 interceptions, 183 carries for 301 yards, five rushing touchdowns, one catch for 14 yards, one touchdown, and one tackle (1 assist) in 26 games for the Vandals.

In 2023, he was named First Team All-Big Sky Conference and a finalist for the Walter Payton Award after finishing the season completing 229 of 354 passes (65%) for 2,910 yards, 15 touchdowns, eight interceptions, 88 carries for 188 yards, and two rushing touchdowns in 12 games.

He was also named Third Team All-Big Sky Conference, Hero Sports All-American, Big Sky Freshman of the Year, the winner of the Jerry Rice Award in 2022 after finishing the season completing 204 of 298 passes (68%) for 2,719 yards, 27 touchdowns, seven interceptions, 75 carries for 89 yards, three rushing touchdowns, one catch for 14 yards, one touchdown, and one tackle (1 assist) in 11 games.

Next, he transferred to Oregon State in 2024, completing 123 of 202 passes (61%) for 1,300 yards, six touchdowns, three interceptions, 59 carries for 328 yards, and five rushing touchdowns in 10 games for the Beavers.

Then, he transferred to Temple in 2025, completing 24 of 33 passes (73%) for 256 yards, two touchdowns, and 16 carries for 31 yards in eight games for the Owls.

Antonio Wimbush Jr. is five foot nine and weighs 205 pounds. A native of Kingsland, Georgia, signed with the B.C. Lions on November 25, 2025.

The Iowa Barnstormers signed Wimbush Jr. on February 9, 2022. He played two seasons in Iowa with 253 carries for 987 yards, 34 rushing touchdowns, 64 catches for 591 yards, 11 receiving touchdowns, 29 kick returns for 397 yards, and five tackles (5 solos) in 23 games. He was named to the All-IFL Rookie Team in 2022 and Special Teams Player of the Week in 2022 after scoring seven touchdowns in Week 18 against the Tucson Sugar Skulls.

Wimbush Jr. signed with the Vegas Knight Hawks in 2024. He had 112 carries for 468 yards, 14 rushing touchdowns, 24 catches for 208 yards, three receiving touchdowns, 25 kick returns for 394 yards, one touchdown, and eight tackles (5 solos, 3 assists) in 15 games.

Wimbush Jr. was a key contributor in helping the Vegas Knight Hawks win the IFL Championship in 2025 with 173 carries for 765 yards, 26 rushing touchdowns, 45 catches for 396 yards, six receiving touchdowns, 44 kick returns for 854 yards, five touchdowns, and eight tackles (2 solos, 6 assists) in 19 games.

He was named First Team All-IFL and the 2025 IFL Special Teams Player of the Year. The B.C. Lions signed him to a future contract on October 16, 2025.

Collegiately, Wimbush Jr. played five seasons at Carson-Newman University (2015-19) with 572 carries for 4,003 yards, 41 rushing touchdowns, competed 3 of 4 passes (75%) for 134 yards, one passing touchdown, 37 catches for 527 yards, two receiving touchdowns, two kick returns for 16 yards, 26 punt returns for 223 yards, and six tackles (5 solos, 1 assist) in 48 games for the Eagles.

Wimbush Jr. became the sixth player in Carson-Newman history with multiple 1,000-yard rushing campaigns. He was named a three-time First Team All-SAC, First Team All-Region by D2CCA, CoSIDA Academic All-American, All-American by Don Hansen, AFCA Good Works Team Nominee, and a two-time All-Region by Don Hansen.

Wimbush Jr. graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Commerce and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Management.

Marvin Grant is six foot two and weighs 210 pounds. A native of Detroit, Michigan, Grant attended the Kansas City Chiefs rookie minicamp in 2025. The B.C. Lions signed Grant on February 20, 2026.

Collegiately, Grant spent three seasons at Purdue (2019-21) with 91 tackles (67 solos, 24 assists), 5.5 tackles for loss, three pass breakups, and two forced fumbles in 20 games for the Boilermakers. In 2021, he had a career-high 75 tackles (52 solos, 23 assists), 2.5 tackles for loss, and three pass breakups in 13 games. He was named Academic All-Big Ten in 2020.

Then, he transferred to Kansas (2022-24) with 163 tackles (109 solos, 54 assists), 10 tackles for loss, three sacks, eight pass breakups, and two forced fumbles in 38 games for the Jayhawks. In 2024, he made 59 tackles (40 solos, 19 assists), four tackles for loss, three sacks, and six pass breakups in 12 games.

Marquise Bridges is five foot eleven and weighs 190 pounds. The 29-year-old from Minneapolis, Minnesota, re-signed with the B.C. Lions on December 4, 2025.

Bridges worked out for the Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers. In 2022, he signed with the Northern Arizona Wranglers (IFL) with 35 tackles (22 solos, 13 assists), half a tackle for loss, three interceptions for 21 yards, ten pass breakups, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble, and one safety in 16 games, helping the Wranglers win the 2022 IFL Championship over the Quad City Steamwheelers 47-45.

In 2023, Bridges played for the Bay Area Panthers (IFL), with 78 tackles (38 solos, 40 assists), two tackles for loss, five interceptions for 38 yards, 13 pass breakups, nine catches for 124 yards, and one touchdown in 16 games. He helped the Panthers win the 2023 IFL Championship Game over the Sioux Falls Storm 51-41.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed Bridges on January 25, 2024. In 2024, he made seven tackles and one forced fumble in eight games.

In 2025, Bridges made three tackles and one tackle on special teams in two preseason games. In the regular season, he made 16 tackles and two interceptions in six games. The Blue Bombers released him on August 6, 2025.

The B.C. Lions signed Bridges to the practice squad on September 10, 2025. He played in one regular-season game against the Saskatchewan Roughriders in Week 21 with one tackle. The Lions released him on November 11, 2025.

Collegiately, Bridges played four seasons at North Dakota State (2016-19) with 87 tackles (58 solos, 29 assists), four tackles for loss, five interceptions for 46 yards, 26 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and three kick returns for 50 yards in 49 games for the Bison. He was named Second Team All-MVFC and helped the Bisons win three FCS championships.

Jamal Parker Jr. is five foot eight and weighs 177 pounds. The 28-year-old from Pennsauken, New Jersey, signed with the B.C. Lions on February 24, 2026.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed Parker Jr. on May 15, 2022. In 2022, Parker Jr. made 37 tackles, eight tackles on special teams, one sack, and one interception in 12 games. In 2023, he made 13 tackles and three tackles on special teams in eight games. In 2024, he missed the season due to a knee injury.

The Blue Bombers re-signed Parker Jr. on January 10, 2025. In 2025, he made 36 tackles, one interception, and one touchdown in 11 games. The Blue Bombers released him on December 23, 2025.

Collegiately, Parker Jr. played four seasons at Kent State (2016-19) with 230 tackles (156 solos, 74 assists), four tackles for loss, two sacks, nine interceptions for 99 yards, 38 pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one blocked kick, one carry for 11 yards, 43 kick returns for 1,181 yards, one touchdown, and two punt returns for 18 yards in 48 games for the Golden Flashes. He was named Second Team All-MAC.
