The Calgary Stampeders signed wide receiver Dante Wright on Friday.
Dante Wright is five foot nine and weighs 180 pounds. The 25-year-old from Gainesville, Florida, attended the Kansas City Chiefs rookie minicamp in 2025. The Orlando Pirates of the Indoor Football League signed Wright on March 11, 2026. In 2026, Wright made one catch for six yards in two games.
Collegiately, Wright spent four seasons at Colorado State (2019-22) with 120 catches for 1,660 yards, seven touchdowns, 29 carries for 245 yards, two rushing touchdowns, 32 punt returns for 217 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 23 games for the Rams. In 2020, Wright was named Second Team All-Mountain West as a wide receiver and All-Mountain West Honorable Mention at punt returner.
Then, he transferred to Temple (2023-24) with 100 catches for 1,299 yards, 10 touchdowns, seven carries for 22 yards, 21 punt returns for 118 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 20 games for the Owls. In 2024, he had a career-high 61 catches for 792 yards, six touchdowns, five carries for 17 yards, nine punt returns for 60 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in nine games.
