The Birmingham Stallions signed offensive lineman Joey Lombard and kicker Anders Carlson on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page. They also released offensive lineman Jackson Carman and kicker Jonathan Garibay.
Joey Lombard is six foot five and weighs 305 pounds. The 24-year-old from Anoka, Minnesota, signed with the Birmingham Stallions on February 6, 2026. He attended training camp before the team released him on March 19, 2026.
The Kansas City Chiefs signed Lombard as an undrafted free agent on June 20, 2025. In 2025, he played in three preseason games. The Chiefs released him on August 26, 2025. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed Lombard to the practice squad on September 17, 2025. The Tiger-Cats released him on September 24, 2025. He signed with the Arizona Rattlers on January 21, 2026.
Collegiately, Lombard played center and left guard in five seasons at South Dakota (2019-24), starting 48 of 51 games for the Coyotes. In 2024, he was an Alternate Team Captain. South Dakota averaged 35.79 points per game, 215.9 rushing yards per game, 220.93 passing yards per game, 436.9 total yards per game, 67 touchdowns, allowed 30 sacks, and allowed 2.93 in tackles for loss, finishing 11-3 for the season.
Lombard was named First Team All-MVFC, Second Team All-American by the Associated Press, Third Team All-American by STATS Perform, and Second Team All-MVFC.
Anders Carlson is six foot five and weighs 220 pounds. The 27-year-old from Colorado Springs, Colorado, was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the sixth round (207th pick) of the 2023 NFL Draft. He also spent time with the San Francisco 49ers and the New York Jets. Carlson made 40 of 48 field goals (83.3%), with a long of 58 yards, made 46 of 54 extra points, and 122 kickoffs for 7,714 yards in 24-career NFL games.
Collegiately, Carlson spent five seasons at Auburn (2018-22), making 79 of 110 field goals (71.8%), with a long of 53 yards, 173 of 176 extra points, three tackles (3 solos), and one catch for three yards in 56 games for the Tigers. Carlson was named First Team All-SEC and Second Team All-American in 2020.
Jackson Carman is six foot five and weighs 325 pounds. The 26-year-old from Fairfield, Ohio, was drafted by the Birmingham Stallions in the 2026 UFL Draft. In 2026, he played left guard in 176 snaps in three games.
The Cincinnati Bengals drafted Carman in the second round (46th pick) of the 2021 NFL Draft. He also spent time with the Miami Dolphins. Carman played 30 games in the NFL, 22 of them in Cincinnati and eight in Miami.
Collegiately, Carman spent three seasons at Clemson (2018-20), playing 40 games, of which 27 were snaps, and played 1,934 snaps for the Tigers. He started each of his last 27 games of his collegiate career. Carman helped the Tigers win the CFP National Championship in 2018. Carman was named Second Team All-ACC in 2019, and Second Team All-American by CBS Sports and First Team All-ACC in 2020.
Jonathan Garibay is six foot one and weighs 215 pounds. The 26-year-old from Rubidoux, California, was drafted by the Birmingham Stallions in the 2026 UFL Draft. In 2026, Garibay made 2 of 3 field goals (67%) with a long of 34 yards, and 14 kickoffs for 816 yards in three games.
Garibay attended the Dallas Cowboys rookie minicamp in 2023. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed Garibay on May 22, 2023. He made three field goals with a long of 46 yards and three extra points in two preseason games before he was released on June 4, 2023.
The Arlington Renegades signed Garibay on April 19, 2024. In 2024, he made 13 of 14 field goals (93%) with a long of 48 yards, and 38 kickoffs for 2,602 yards in seven games. He became a free agent after the 2024 season. Garibay did not play football in 2025.
Collegiately, Garibay played two seasons at Riverside City College (2017-18), making 15 of 20 field goals (75%) with a long of 47 yards and was 106 of 112 in extra points, and 99 punts for 3,929 yards with a long of 64 yards, 37 from inside the 20-yard line, 21 fair catches, and four touchbacks in 24 games for the Tigers.
Then, Garibay transferred to Texas Tech (2020-21) converting 23 of 27 field goals (85.2%), with a long of 62 yards, six punts for 287 yards with a long of 56 yards, made 55 extra points (124 points) one fair catch, one from inside the 20-yard line, three from 50-plus yards, 24 kickoffs for 1,391 yards, eight touchbacks, and two kicks out of bounds in 17 games.
In his final season, Garibay converted 15 of 16 field goals (93%) with a long of 62 yards, converted 49 extra points (94 points), one kickoff for 65 yards, and one touchback in 12 games for the Red Raiders.
He was named All-Big 12 first team by the conference coaches in 2021 and became the first Red Raider kicker to be tabbed to the first team since Clayton Hatfield in 2018. He joined Hatfield and Alex Trilica (2007) as the only kickers in the Big 12 era to garner First Team accolades receiving votes for Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Year.
