The Saskatchewan Roughriders released wide receiver Jaylen Johnson on Wednesday.

Jaylen Johnson is six foot two and weighs 194 pounds. The 26-year-old from Duluth, Georgia, signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders on April 30, 2026. In 2026, Johnson made nine catches for 117 yards and two kick returns for 47 yards in three games.

The Los Angeles Chargers signed Johnson as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, he made three catches for 53 yards and one tackle (1 solo) in three preseason games. He dressed for one regular-season game while spending the season on the practice squad. In 2025, he made four catches for 37 yards. The Chargers released him on August 26, 2025.

Collegiately, Johnson spent four seasons at Georgia (2018-21) with five catches for 49 yards, one carry for six yards, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in 26 games for the Bulldogs. Then, he transferred to East Carolina (2022-23) with 71 catches for 806 yards, six touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in 12 games for the Pirates.
