The Birmingham Stallions signed wide receiver Kyric McGowan on Friday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Kyric McGowan is five foot eleven and weighs 198 pounds. The 26-year-old from Dalton, Georgia, signed with the Montreal Alouettes on January 30, 2025. The Alouettes released him on May 15, 2025.
The Washington Commanders signed McGowan as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2022. He also spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Miami Dolphins. McGowan made 10 catches for 94 yards, one touchdown, one carry for nine yards, seven kick returns for 139 yards, and four punt returns for 34 yards in 10 preseason games.
Collegiately, McGowan played four seasons at Northwestern (2017-20) with 68 catches for 802 yards, two touchdowns, 55 carries for 352 yards, two touchdowns, 22 kick returns for 531 yards, and one punt return for -8 yards in 42 games for the Wildcats.
Then, he transferred to Georgia Tech in 2021 with 37 catches for 467 yards, seven touchdowns, one kick return for three yards, and four punt returns for nine yards in 11 games for the Yellow Jackets.
