The Raiders Tirol of the European League of Football signed quarterback Tyler Knoop for the 2026 season on January 13, 2026.
Tyler Knoop is six foot and weighs 188 pounds. A native of North Richland Hills, Texas, Knoop spent five seasons at Georgetown University (2019-23), completing 227 of 357 passes (64%) for 2,446 yards, 19 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, 108 carries for 369 yards, and five rushing touchdowns in 22 games for the Hoyas.
Then, he transferred to Stony Brook University in 2024, completing 182 of 263 passes (69%) for 2,021 yards, 17 touchdowns, four interceptions, 63 carries for 172 yards, one catch for -1 yard, and one tackle (1 solo) in 12 games for the Seawolves.
Knoop attended Fort Worth Christian High School, where he was a three-year starter. He was named a two-time All-State selection and District Offensive MVP. Knoop holds the school record for career passing yards, most touchdowns in a season (45), and passing yards in a season (3,700). In addition to football, Knoop competed in track & field and basketball, qualifying for the state championships in the 4×400-meter relay.
