The St. Louis Battlehawks signed tight end Shane Calhoun on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Shane Calhoun is six foot four and weighs 250 pounds. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Calhoun attended the Indianapolis Colts rookie minicamp in 2025.
Collegiately, Calhoun spent four seasons at East Carolina University (2020-23) with 63 catches for 594 yards and six touchdowns in 38 games for the Pirates. In 2021, he had a career-high 18 catches for 114 yards and one touchdown against Marshall, becoming the first ECU tight end since Carlester Crumpler Jr. in 1992 to record 100 yards receiving in a game.
In 2022, he made a career-high 25 catches for 202 yards and two touchdowns in 11 games. Then, he transferred to Texas A&M in 2024 with three catches for 57 yards in 13 games for the Aggies.
