The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed defensive back Michael ‘Flip’ Dixon to a future contract that starts in 2026 on Friday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Michael ‘Flip’ Dixon is six foot two and weighs 210 pounds. A native of Statesboro, Georgia, Dixon attended the Buffalo Bills rookie minicamp in 2025.
Collegiately, Dixon spent three seasons at Minnesota (2020-22) with 45 tackles (27 solos, 18 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, one interception, and four pass breakups in 30 games for the Golden Gophers. In 2022, he made 28 tackles (15 solos, 13 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, and three pass breakups in 12 games.
Then, he transferred to Rutgers (2023-24) with 138 tackles (84 solos, 54 assists), two tackles for loss, two interceptions for 23 yards, 12 pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one blocked kick in 25 games for the Scarlet Knights.
In 2023, he had a career-high 76 tackles (51 solos, 25 assists), two tackles for loss, one interception, seven pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 13 games. In his final collegiate season, Dixon made 62 tackles (33 solos, 29 assists), one interception for 23 yards, five pass breakups, and one blocked kick in 12 games.
Dixon was named a four-time Academic All-Big Ten, All-ECAC Defense, Fourth Team All-Big Ten by Phil Steele, All-Big Ten Honorable Mention, and was named to the 2025 Hampshire Honor Society.
