The Ottawa Redblacks acquired defensive back Mark Milton from the Toronto Argonauts on Monday for a 2026 seventh-round draft pick.

Mark Milton is six foot two and weighs 191 pounds. The 25-year-old from Houston, Texas, re-signed with the Argonauts on January 6, 2025. In 2025, he made 23 tackles and one tackle on special teams in nine games.

The Carolina Panthers signed Milton as an undrafted free agent on May 11, 2023. Milton made 7 tackles (3 solos, 4 assists) in three preseason games to earn a spot on the practice squad. However, he was released on September 20, 2023.

Milton would later join the Miami Dolphins practice squad before returning to Carolina. The Panthers released him again on November 11, 2023. Next, Milton signed with the Birmingham Stallions on December 6, 2023. After Birmingham released Milton on March 10, 2024, Milton signed with the San Antonio Brahmas (UFL) but was released on March 22, 2024.

Then, Milton signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on May 8, 2024. In a preseason game against the Toronto Argonauts, Milton made one tackle to earn a spot on the practice squad. The Ticats released Milton on June 19, 2024.

The Toronto Argonauts signed Milton on July 1, 2024. In 2024, he made 27 tackles, 7 tackles on special teams, one sack, and two forced fumbles in 11 games helping Toronto win the 111th Grey Cup over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Collegiately, Milton played five seasons at Baylor (2018-22) with 97 tackles (69 solos, 28 assists), 2 tackles for loss, 1 interception for 2 yards, 9 pass breakups, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery in 51 games for the Bears. In addition to football, Milton was a track and field star competing in the 4x100m relay in 2019 finishing fourth place with a time of 39.92 at the conference championships.
