The Houston Roughnecks re-signed defensive end Jamir Jones on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Jamir Jones is six foot three and weighs 237 pounds. The 27-year-old from Rochester, New York, signed with the Houston Roughnecks on July 24, 2024. In 2025, he made 30 tackles (20 solos, 10 assists), eight tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks in ten games.

The Houston Texans signed Jones as an undrafted free agent on May 4, 2020. He also spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Rams, and Jacksonville Jaguars making 20 tackles (13 solos, 7 assists), two quarterback hits, and one pass breakup in 32 games.

The San Antonio Brahmas signed Jones on December 15, 2023. In 2024, he made two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in two games. The Brahmas released him on May 1, 2024.

Collegiately, Jones played four seasons at Notre Dame (2016-19) making 24 tackles (13 solos, 11 assists), one tackle for loss, and one fumble recovery in 35 games for the Fighting Irish.
