The Memphis Showboats signed offensive lineman Dominic Boyd, and released running back Wes Hills and defensive tackle DaMarcus Mitchell on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Dominic Boyd is six foot three and weighs 309 pounds. A native of Tucker, Georgia, Boyd signed with the Las Vegas Raiders as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025, and was released on May 12, 2025.

Collegiately, Boyd played three seasons at Alabama State (2021-23) playing 21 games for the Hornets. In 2023, he played 10 games. Alabama State averaged 20.64 points per game, 111 rushing yards per game, 188.91 passing yards per game, 299.9 total yards per game, 30 touchdowns, and allowed 15 sacks finishing 7-4 for the season. He was named Second Team All-SWAC.

Then, he transferred to Georgia Southern in 2024 playing 775 snaps in 11 games for the Eagles. In 2024, Georgia Southern averaged 28 points per game, 127.6 rushing yards per game, 237.77 passing yards per game, 365.4 total yards per game, 46 touchdowns, and allowed 16 sacks finishing 8-5 for the season.

Wes Hills is six foot two and weighs 218 pounds. The 29-year-old from Wildwood, New Jersey, signed with the Memphis Showboats on April 29, 2025. In 2025, Hills had 20 carries for 75 yards, and five catches for 35 yards in two games. He suffered a calf injury and missed the game last week against the San Antonio Brahmas.

The Arizona Cardinals signed Hills as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2019. In 2019, he had 13 carries for 63 yards, one touchdown, and two catches for 18 yards in three preseason games. The Cardinals released him on August 31, 2019. Next, he signed with the Detroit Lions on October 9, 2019. Hills played one game with ten carries for 21 yards, two touchdowns, and two catches for one yard against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Lions released him on September 5, 2020.

Then, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed Hills on March 8, 2021. He played two seasons in Hamilton with 73 carries for 404 yards, one touchdown, and 11 catches for 105 yards in eight games.

The New Orleans Breakers signed Hills as a free agent on February 17, 2023. In 2023, he had 180 carries for 679 yards, ten touchdowns, and 38 catches for 278 yards in ten games. He finished the season as the league’s rushing leader and was named to the All-USFL Team.

The Michigan Panthers drafted Hills in the 2024 UFL Dispersal Draft. In 2024, Hills had 72 carries for 278 yards, five touchdowns, and 12 catches for 59 yards in eight games, of which four were starts.

Collegiately, Hills played four seasons at Delaware (2013-16) with 286 carries for 1,849 yards, 14 touchdowns, and ten catches for 67 yards in 32 games for the Fightin’ Blue Hens. He was named Third Team All-CAA in 2016.

Then, Hills transferred to Slippery Rock in 2018 with 246 carries for 1,714 yards, 17 touchdowns, and 28 catches for 193 yards in 12 games for the Rock. He was named First Team All-PSAC West in 2018.

DeMarcus Mitchell is six foot three and weighs 260 pounds. The 26-year-old from Thibodaux, Louisiana, signed with the Memphis Showboats on January 30, 2025. In 2025, Mitchell made four tackles (1 solo, 3 assists), and one forced fumble in four games.

The New England Patriots signed Mitchell as an undrafted free agent in 2022 and spent the season on their practice squad. He made one tackle (1 solo) in one preseason game for the New England Patriots in 2023. Mitchell also had a brief stint with the Seattle Seahawks.

Mitchell signed with the Birmingham Stallions on December 23, 2023. In 2024, Mitchell made 8 tackles (5 solos, 3 assists), two tackles for loss, and one sack in 5 games.

He did not play in the playoffs when the Stallions won the UFL Championship 25-0 over the San Antonio Brahmas. The Stallions re-signed Mitchell on August 27, 2024. Birmingham released him on January 27, 2025.

Collegiately, Mitchell played two seasons at Southwest Mississippi Community College (2018-19) making 71 tackles (30 solos, 71 assists), 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, two interceptions for 51 yards, one forced fumble, one pass breakup, one blocked punt, 12 carries for 57 yards, seven catches for 73 yards, one touchdown, and two punt returns for 25 yards in 18 games for the Bears.

Then, he transferred to Purdue (2020-21) making 59 tackles (38 solos, 21 assists), 13 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, four pass breakups, and three forced fumbles in 18 games for the Boilermakers.
